Going native: switching from injection to carburetion

Why?

The long answer is long and quite boring, read it if you have literally nothing else better to do.
This is a race car; emissions, smooth idle, and cold starts are not relevant. Pro-stock and circle track racers swear by them and until a few months ago so did NASCAR teams. Unless there are crazy elevation changes, a properly tuned double pumper carb, (which this isnt, but will be soon) will preform just as well and make roughly the same horsepower as any FI system. Also carbs weigh less than FI systems and do not need a return fuel line which halves the chance of a line getting severed and turning you into a crispy nomex mess.

The short answer is simple. Carbs are 1/5 the cost of a decent FI system and function just as well on a race car.

New Holley 750 double pumper, and the old Holley Projection system that was godawful and constantly required tuning.

Ended up selling the Projection system for $600, which easily covered the cost of the new carb.
Glad to be rid of all that extra wiring too.

New fittings, fuel pressure regulator, fuel pump, inline filter, and hose
